Dominating the valley of the Meuse, this modern and concrete building was built between 1906 and 1908.
Last work established on the place of Verdun, it did not undergo any bombardment, from where its perfect state of conservation, with major and unique assets, like its turret for two machine guns, its turret for two gun of 75 and its sentry box infantry.
Today, 30 models reconstruct the lives of soldiers in 1916 behind the front.
The visit of this book helps to understand the daily life of French soldiers during the 1st World War. Inside and outside visit: trench, gut and quarter, shelters, barracks, latrines, soldier's hearth, gun turret of 75, machine gun turret and an infantry sentry box.

From October,1st to November,11th: 9:00-11:30

Closed Wednesdays except in July and August

School group rates

  •     1 free guide for 10 paying pupils
  •     2 € per additional accompanying person
Adult group rates
  •     4 € per adult
  •     1 free for every 20 paying people
  •     Free for the driver
